According to Enbase’s China film boxoffice statistics, six films below will be released in Mainland China in the 44th week (Oct. 27-Nov. 2). “The Maze Runner” will smash into the mainland Chinese market which has already earned $272.29million worldwide. A domestic produced thriller, “The Haunted Cinema” will be on screens on October 30, the day before Halloween's eve. The other Halloween celebration, “Lonely Island”, will follow its rival for ticket sales on Friday. By Friday of the 44th week, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, "Kung Fu Jungle” and "The Nightingale” are going to fascinate audiences with different genre. “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, an adaptation from the comics, will vacuum more cashes in with $392million global boxoffice gross. Starring by famous martial artist Donnie Yen and “Breakup Buddies” star Wang Baoqiang, “Kung Fu Jungle” will be the most expectable film of week44. As the selection for Oscar nominations, "The Nightingale” certainly enjoys the appreciations from academics, and its appeal to audiences will be a romance of the older generation.
The searching amounts of the six upcoming films through Baidu show that “Kung Fu Jungle” was the most heated film in the past week. The searching number of “Kung Fu Jungle” gradually rose to 7430 from October 16 to 19. After slightly dropping below 7000, the searching index topped 9153 on October 22. With a lot of active fans, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” saw a growing attentions and overpassed “Kung Fu Jungle” on October 18. Though the index dived to 4497 on October 20, the searching number kept showing above 4000 from October 16 to 22. The index of “The Maze Runner” crossed and surpassed “Ninja Turtles” with twists and turns. Generally speaking, “The Haunted Cinema” and “The Nightingale” ’s searching numbers went up and down symmetrically around 2000. From the bottom of the chart, “Lonely Island” had a steady searching frequency about 600 per day.
