Feng Xiaogang's Personal Tailor has been dominating at the box office since its opening on Thursday. Now it is crowned with two records: best opener for 2D films and best opener for first week revenue. As of last Sunday, its cumulative gross reached nearly $51 million, breaking the record set by Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons in 2012. In total, the weekend box office came to $48.3 million, over 78 percent of which was taken by Huayi Brothers' comedy.
