This year a new TV reality show became an instant hit with audiences and forever changed the landscape of Chinese television broadcasting. Within a few hours of its first live broadcast on July 13, "The Voice of China" managed to capture the viewers' attention and hearts.

Film screenings occupy a large part of the BIFF, with about 100 do¬mestic and foreign works shown this year. This includes documentaries, features and experimental pictures.

Letv.com followed in August 2011, with a second awards ceremony held in March and the third coming up in October. Tv.sohu.com held its first "Sohu.com TV Drama Awards" in January 2012, and the next will take place on August 15.
