The organizing committee of the 11th Changchun China Film Festival announced the nomination list for this year's event, Mtime.com reports.
The 31 nominees will compete for nine awards, including Best Chinese-Language Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor and Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Actress, Best Photography and Best Score.
The genres cover crime films, art-house films, Kung Fu films, costume flicks, romance and red films. The big names among them are "A Simple Life", "Beginning of the Great Revival", "Hello! Mr. Tree", "Revolution 1911", "Overheard 2", "The Great Magician" and "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan.
This year's festival will have the theme "Remembering the Old Days". It will run from August 20 to 25 in Changchun, Jilin Province.
