Bona Film Group has picked up Chinese distribution rights to a pair of U.S. titles ahead of AFM, nabbing Summit Entertainment's sequel to ensemble action hit "Red 2" and Emmet/Furla Films' thriller "Broken City".

The Chinese producers of Imperial City Beijing, a 3D docudrama set partly in Beijing’s Forbidden City and co-produced by James Cameron, have brought the project to AFM to try and secure more Hollywood backing.

US producers need more time to figure out China’s co-production rules, but opportunities remain, was the major message at the US-China Film Summit held at UCLA on Tuesday (Oct 30).
