Visit to Fossil Museum, an animated film submitted by Liuzhou Museum, was rated as an “Excellent Work”, a State-level honor, in the third China Cultural Heritage Animation and Comics Competition.
The competition, authorized by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and co-hosted by the China Cultural Relics Protection Foundation and Chinese Museum Association, lasted over four months. Results were disclosed in late September, awarding 11 “High-Quality Works” and 10 “Excellent Works”.
The fossil exhibition The Journey of Life at Liuzhou Museum won the Best Production award in the eighth National Museum 10 Excellent Exhibitions competition in 2009. The exhibition was always popular among teenagers so Liuzhou Museum, in conjunction with professional companies, created the cartoon. It described a family of three visiting Liuzhou Museum. The story entertains with humorous conversation and graceful pictures.
