Wang Quan'an, director of Chinese epic "White Deer Plain" and Stephen Fung, director of "Taichi" trilogy, became the latest "100 million" directors in China recently due to box office revenues that exceeded 100 million yuan (about $15.9 million), Mtime.com reports.
Zhang Yimou was the first Chinese director to score more than 100 million yuan at the box office, followed by other acclaimed directors Feng Xiaogang, Chen Kaige and others. There are currently 50 members of the group.
