Representatives of seven Australian animation companies are on their way to China's Hubei province to build closer ties with the film and television industries there.
China's latest Five Year Plan includes a major push to expand its animation industry - with an aim to produce thousands of hours of animated content for the Chinese and international markets, and Australia is keen for a slice of the action.
The Australian delegation visit has been organised by Screenwest - a television and film funding and development agency based in Western Australia.
