Chinese director Song Fang's feature film "Memories Look at Me" has become a sensation at foreign film festivals. Mtime.com reports today that the movie has been nominated for an award at the 56th BFI London Film Festival.
The movie will join the Love Gala section along with Michael Haneke's Palme d'Or-winner "Amour" and 23 other films.
Only one month after picking up the Best First Feature Award at the 65th Locarno International Film Festival, and at the London Film Festival Song's debut work is the only Chinese production nominated for any award.
Produced by Jia Zhangke, "Memories Look at Me" tells about a young woman (played by director Song Fang) visiting her aging parents in Nanjing and reflects on what it means to grow old.
The festival will run from October 10 to 21.
