In an interview on Saturday, the jury president of the Horizon section at Venice Film Festival 2012 told Xinhua that the Chinese film industry has great development prospective springing from its millenary culture.
Italian actor Pierfrancesco Favino shortly spoke after a documentary by Chinese director Wang Bing, San Zimei (Three Sisters), which has won the best movie award of the Horizon section, saying that China’s millenary culture can attract people from all over the world. He added that the award-winning documentary, which was a French-Hongkongese co-production illustrates the harsh existence of a peasant family in a Chinese mountain village, was able to change the international jury thanks to the brilliant life experience it provides.
