Veteran film producers from Taiwan, Lee Lieh and Yeh Jufeng, have recently led their all star-studded cast to Beijing to promote their upcoming fantasy comedy The Village of No Return.
Yeh Jufeng, who is known for producing 2015 blockbuster Our Times, spoke at the event."The thing that can erase their worst memories is very special. I believe the film may pleasantly surprise audiences with a fresh and imaginative storyline."
Set in the early 20th-century China, the film follows the story of an isolated village visited by a stranger with a mysterious treasure, a helmet-like thing that erases the memories of those who wear it.
Award-winning actor Wang Qianyuan co-stars with actress Shu Qi in it.
The Village of No Return is set to open to Chinese theaters on Jan 28, the first day of Spring Festival
