To celebrate its 20th anniversary, this year's 11th Changchun Film Festival in Changchun, Jilin Province, will feature a special section titled "Remembering the Old Days," M1905.com reports.

The film fest, which will be held August 20-25, in Changchun, Jilin Province, will see nearly 270 domestic and foreign films from more than 180 countries and regions competing for awards, including "The Founding of A Party," "Revolution 1911," "Flying Swords of the Dragon Gate," "A Simple Life" and "Qian Xuesen."

This year's festival has cancelled three award categories—Best Newcomer, Best Digital Film and the Jury Special Prize. Candidates can still compete for nine other awards, including Best Chinese-Language Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor and Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Actress, Best Photography and Best Score.

The organizing committee has invited several famous directors and actors to participate in the festival's symposiums to be held as part of the "Remembering the Old Days" section.
