Eddie Redmayne Promotes "Fantastic Beasts" in Beijing
Oscar-winning British actor Eddie Redmayne has recently been to Beijing, promoting Harry Potter spin-off the Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.
The fantasy adventure film stars Redmayne as pre-eminent "magizoologist" Newt Scamander, who owns a magically-expanded suitcase which contains many creatures.
When his suitcase was inadvertently opened by a Muggle, a non-magical person named Jacob Kowalski, the New York falls into danger.
Redmayne described his character's relation with Jacob at the promotional event.
"And when Jacob comes, it's the moment when Jacob is looking at the alchemy in his hands, 'cause all the wizards, you know all the magic creatures are legal, all the Wizarding world that tests them. But it's the moment that Newt watches and done so beautifully like staring before creature. He sees a like-minded spirit, and opens Newt's heart a little bit. I mean it's sort of the start of a budding romance."
The Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a series of films based on the book of the same name by J.K. Rowling.
Earlier, its author J.K. Rowling announced that the Eddie Redmayne-starring spinoff will be the first of five films that will be rolled out later.
And this very first installment will be released in China on November 25.
