Industry heavyweights from Hollywood and China will come together to address filmmaking, co-productions, dealmaking, digital streaming and more during the third annual U.S. China Film & TV Industry Expo, which takes place Nov. 2-3.

The Expo, which will be held at the Regal Cinemas L.A. Live, will feature a who’s who of key international executives, including Hongwei Chen, vice general manager of Tencent Pictures; Adam Goodman, president of Le Vision Entertainment; Yu Gong, founder and CEO of iQIYI; Hawk Koch, producer and former president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences; Chairman Xue Jijun of CCTV; Zhang Wei, president of Shanghai Oriental Pearl Group; Ning Ye, CEO of Huayi Bros.; Noah Fogelson, executive vp, corporate strategy for STX Entertainment; Anthony Vogels, senior vp, international development for IMAX; and Brian Goldsmith, COO of Lionsgate.

The expo will feature seven panels and two keynotes, including an “Art of Deal Making” discussion moderated by O’Melveny & Myers, LLP. Other panels will examine marketing strategies for films in both China and the U.S., animated co-productions and how U.S. producers can team with Chinese creatives to produce television programming.

Keynotes throughout the two Expo days include Guoqi Li, deputy director of State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, as well as remarks from the office of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.

"Technology, finance and the international box office are the key drivers for the entertainment industry in China. Mix this with the legacy, experience and talent that is Hollywood, and it’s a winning formula,” said Bianca Chen, CEO of the UCFTI Expo. “When companies come together in person and collaborate, there is only room for continued excellence. The UCFTI Expo is the platform for these discussions.”

The annual Expo has been recognized by governmental bodies in both countries, having received recognition two years in a row from the U.S.–China Consultation on People-to-People Exchange (CPE) for its accomplishments in strengthening ties between the U.S. and Chinese film industries and for its efforts in uniting the two cultures.
