The city-based SMG Pictures announced its new film, TV series and online series shooting plans on Monday.

The company will produce a new weekly online series "The Longest Night" which is adapted from a popular suspense novel of Cai Jun.

Two big-budgeted fantasy dramas "The Flame's Daughter" and "Zichuan" will be put onto the TV screen. Both are written by popular online novelists and have a large fan base on the Internet.

The production company has also started its collaboration with Fuji Television Network Inc in the Chinese remake of successful Japanese series.

In the next three years, they will co-produce a batch of Chinese series whose stories are inspired by acclaimed Japanese dramas and animation. Among the projects are the Chinese remakes of Japanese comedy romance series "What Is Love" and "Proposal Daisakusen."

Besides, SMG Pictures will cooperate with the Walt Disney Company to shoot a nature documentary film "Born in China." The production team is composed of Chinese film maker Lu Chuan and British documentary producer Phil Chapman.

New film productions also include the action-packed crime thriller "Lost in White," which was named as a project with the most market potential at the Shanghai International Film Festival, and romantic film "Night Peacock."
