Star Chinese Movies Strikes Enlight Pictures Deal
Fox International Channels unit, Star Chinese Movies has bought TV and digital media rights to a trio of major pictures from mainland China’s Enlight Pictures.
The three titles include $30 million action-comedy film “Hollywood Adventures,” written and produced by Hollywood executive Justin Lin “Fast & Furious” franchise), coming-of-age film “The Left Ear,” and comedy “Lost in Hong Kong, which is directed by Xu Zheng and stars Xu and Vicky Zhao Wei. Zhao, Huang Xiaoming and Tong Dawei head an all-star cast for "Hollywood Adventures.”
The films will be available on SCM linear, VoD and online catch-up service (SCM Play) after their theatrical releases in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. SCM is available in 12 countries, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, the Philippines, U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
