'Empress of China' heads to Hong Kong
Hong Kong's television giant, TVB, has recently bought the rights to broadcast Fan Bingbing's period drama, "The Empress of China."
And before the show airs in April, several changes will be made.
The series, now one of the highest rated shows in China, is scheduled to broadcasted seven days a week on TVB.
It will be a different version than the one aired in mainland China, which has been heavily edited due to the cleavage-bearing costumes worn by the actresses.
TVB Executive Catherine Tsang stated that no one had seen their version yet, they have reduced the series by ten episodes, and it will be different than the mainland version.
Adding that she hopes the viewers will appreciate their uncensored version.
In addition to the changes, Hong Kong singer Joey Yung has also been invited to sing the Cantonese version of the drama's theme song.
