Qingdao Cooperating with US Chinese TV Network
The Hollywood Chinese TV (HCTV), a Los Angeles, California-based network set up a new branch in the M6 Creative Park in the city of Qingdao, Shandong province, on Jan 5, which is expected to facilitate the integration of TV and the culture industry in both countries and to promote the city of Qingdao, in the US, especially in LA.
The press conference was held at the Blue Horizon Hotel in the city's Licang district, attended by large numbers of government officials from the city's tourism bureau and international investment and cooperation promotion bureau.
The HCTV will cooperate with the city's government to build a Hollywood Culture Park, featuring a film studio, a film exhibition hall, a 5D-experiencing pavilion and a film & television art school.
The HCTV carries TV programs that are popular with Chinese-Americans, such as American Dream and Chitu Mall.
The city's Qingdao TV signed a cooperative agreement with the HCTV on Sept 19, 2014, to work together on TV programs and share media resources.
The Qingdao government plans to use this opportunity to increase exchanges abroad in media, culture and education.
