Enlight Media, the Chinese group behind “Lost In Thailand”, is to raise $163 million (RMB1 billion) through the establishment of a private equity fund.
The Huaxing Enlight Venture Investment fund will invest in listed equities, convertible debt and in private companies, Enlight said in a regulatory filing. Target companies are expected to be in the Internet, high-tech and new media industries, and related cultural media industries.
The fund will be operated in partnership with fund management firm Hua Sheng Investment Management Center.
