'Reshape,Fusion' Summit Talks on the Industry
The 5th Annual China Culture and Entertainment Industry Summit, hosted by Entgroup, were held in Beijing on 15-17 September. Leaders from Chinese famous production companies, video websites, culture foundations and financial institutions, namely Wangda Culture, Huayi Bros., Bona Film, Iqiyi, Youku Tudou, M1905, etc. gathered and discussed in-depth China’s booming cultural and entertainment sectors in a mobile internet era.
Founding partner and president of Enrgroup, Leon Gao, delivered a speech at the opening session, in which he discussed the new scale of the culture and entertainment industry backing with explosion of mobile internet and beneficial policies to the domestic cultural market.
With the theme of "Reshape, Fusion", Mr. Gao gave priority to enhance the netizen’s using habit is ushering the reform: “Internet users has reached 600 million and mobile Internet users are 500 million, in which 250 million are mobile video users. The smart phones are becoming part of our life. So, it is no doubt that whether the pattern of consuming entertainment products, or large amounts of data generated after use, are demanding more to the whole industry.”
Internet economy is also powering reconstruction of the industry. “The online self-distribution system has firmly dominated the industry, and it provides us a greater space for to dream bigger in the future about the Internet distribution platforms and channels for all content products”, Gao said.
The annual summit focused on film finance, IP value, co-production with international partners, new trends of TV series, film O2O and other entertainment industry hot topics. Over 8,000 attendees participated actively in the discussions.
