Hengdian World Studios is the largest film studio in the world and is dubbed as "China's Hollywood" by Western media. It is located in Hengdian, a town in the city of Dongyang in east China's Zhejiang Province.
The studio consists of 13 shooting bases. It is where movies like Ang Lee's Oscar-winning "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," Zhang Yimou's "Hero" and "The City of Golden Armor" and Chen Kaige's "The Promise" were filmed.
