At a press conference held in Beijing on December 29th, the Chinese film director said his film was composed of three stories. The first about humanity, the second about irony, the third represents his awe of the world.
Feng argued that the comedy was a satire on many contemporary problems. "You find me a film that's more ironic. Maybe the audience feels the film is not that funny and they are touched by Dandan's acting. The movie-goers can criticize me as much as they like because they pay for tickets, but not the film reviewers. You do not pay for tickets but make money from reviewing. You do not have a high level. "Personal Tailor" was released on December 19th and has generated 500 million yuan. But the film only got 5.4 out of 10 on movie.douban.com, a popular movie review website.
