‘Like Father, Like Son’ Wins Asia Pacific Festival Awards
Japanese film “Like Father Like Son” was named as the best film at the Asia Pacific Film Festival awards ceremony in Macau.
The picture, about the families of two boys who were swapped at birth, also won best director for Kore’ eda Hirokazu.
Other awards went to Zhang Ziyi, named as best actress for her role in “The Grandmaster,” and to Lee Kang-sheng for his role in “Stray Dogs.”
Best supporting actor award went to India’s Nawazuddin Sidiqui for his part in “The Lunchbox” and to Yeo Yann Yann as the mother in “Ilo Ilo.”
“The Grandmaster” also claimed the best cinematography award.
The Asia Pacific Film Festival is in its 56th edition. It has often moved venue to different locations around the region, but this year and last has settled in Asia’s gambling capital Macau.
