The inaugural International Gold Panda Awards for TV Drama, part of the Sichuan TV Festival, has received 578 program entries, including 242 from China and 336 from more than 40 different countries worldwide.
Entries include 89 international mini-series and 9 Chinese, 106 international TV movies and 15 Chinese, and 141 international TV series and 218 Chinese.
The festival will take place November 16 to 19 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China.
“At a time when television drama programs are one of the most important genres available to Chinese viewers, I am delighted that the first International Gold Panda Awards for TV Drama received so many entries from prestigious producers all around the world,” said Luliang, the head of the Sichuan TV Festival for dramas and exhibitions. “This excellent first result will help SCTVF to prepare very high level cooperation between the Chinese TV Drama producers and their International colleagues who will participate in to our Festival.”
