Films selected from some of New Zealand's most acclaimed directors, cinematographers and producers, are set to be screened in Beijing.
Eight feature films and two shorts produced between 1990 and last year will be screened at the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art over a 13-day period.
Some films will be shown in China for the first time.
"An Angel at My Table", which is adapted from three autobiographies by New Zealand's most distinguished author, Janet Frame, will open the festival on March 1.
The film tells the story of Frame's childhood, personal struggles and growth as a writer.
The 1990 film was also the first from New Zealand to be screened at the Venice Film Festival that year, where it won the Grand Special Jury Prize.
