The Award Ceremony for the One Foundation Video Festival 2012 was held yesterday in Beijing. Kung Fu megastar Jet Li, the founder of the One Foundation, made an appearance to support the festival, xinhuanet.com reports.
The documentary "Moon Bear," which exposed the inside stories surrounding the extraction of bear bile was the biggest winner of the night. The movie took home three awards including Best Public Production, Best Director and the Grand Jury Prize.
The festival is the first event to recognize video productions that focus on creating public benefit. Over 320 candidates from across the world joined the festival and showcased their works.
Jet Li said during the awards ceremony, "I have two hands; one fights for my family and myself and the other one fights to pay back society." Li expressed his hope that more people will become concerned with social realities in the future.
