The organizing committee of the 2nd Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) announced Saturday that a "Film Magic•Beijing Forum" will be held during the event, Chinesefilm.cn reports.
At a press conference in the capital, the event organizers said the Film Magic•Beijing Forum will be composed of Summit Forum of World-Renowned Film Companies, the Sino-Foreign Film Co-production Forum and Film Music Forum.
Dozens of high-level executives from famous film companies will attend the Summit Forum of World-Renowned Film Companies, and 10 will give speeches on the topics of strategies for promoting the core competitiveness of film production companies and cooperation opportunities for films with[?] global cultural differences.
Sino-Foreign Film Co-production Forum comprises a forum session and a negotiation meeting. Sino-foreign Film Co-production Forum consists of five sections. They are: signing ceremony of co-production films: "Legends of Gods and Heroes" and "The Art of War"; themed forum "co-production sets the path of world film development"; forum "development of 3D technology and film cooperation"; book launch for the Chinese version of James Cameron's Titanic in 3D;and seminar on 3D Titanic.
As the most anticipated guest at the 2nd BJIFF, Cameron will deliver speeches on 3D technology and discuss the topic with other attendees while he is in China to produce the 3D section of the "The Art of War."
The Film Music Forum will invite renowned film music composers, producers, directors and critics from at home and abroad to discuss the status of and trends in the creation and development of film music as part of the theme "discover the beauty of film music."
The 2nd BJIFF will be held on April 23-28.
