'A Simple Life' Sweeps Hong Kong Film Awards

Director Ann Hui's "A Simple Life" has swept the board at the 31st annual Hong Kong Film Awards, taking home five-prizes including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Screenplay.
"A Simple Life" depicts the touching relationship between a movie producer, Roger and his nanny - whom he chooses to take care of at the end of her days.
This is Andy Lau's third time winning the Best Award.
Best Actress Deanie Yip says her favourite scenes in 'A Simple life' are those shot in the nursing home.
"I like the scenes in the nursing home, (depicting) the relations between the elderly. I think everyone will find something different that they like in this film"
Other award winners include Best New Performer Jam Hsiao for 'The Killer Who Never Kills', Best Supporting Actor Lo Hoi Pang 'Life Without Principle', and Best Supporting Actress Ho Hang Shuen also for her role in 'Life Without Principle'.
And Taiwanese film "You Are the Apple of My Eye" won the award for Best Film of Mainland and Taiwan.
Not to forget Tsui Hark's 3D sword fighting film "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate".
The special effects movie took home 4-awards including Best Film Editing, Best Art Direction and Best Visual Effects.
